Alberta Provincial Emergency Initiative - October 23, 2008
AGSI is pleased to announce that AGSI and our partners have been awarded a five year contract by the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) to deliver Alberta's province-wide Emergency Management Decision Support Initiative (EMDSI).
The Alberta EMDSI solution features AGSI along with key partners; Black Coral, Aizan Technologies and Bell Canada. AGSI's Location Warehouse™ information datasets, combined with its GO360™ technology, is seamlessly integrated with the Black Coral SoftRisk® incident management software, Aizan Technologies notification solution and hosted by Bell Canada in its highly secure Alberta data centre. AGSI is delivering the situational awareness capabilities through its leading edge, collaborative, web-based solution built upon AGSI's GO360 Advanced Technology. AGSI's solution allows authorized users to collaborate from anywhere and at any time in a controlled and secure environment. Brad Rollo, Director of Emergency Management Solutions at AGSI said: "We are extremely pleased to have been selected and are eager to ensure our advanced technology solutions provide the necessary information and analysis to remediate any kind of Alberta emergency. Our GO360 solution is one more key component of AEMA's in-depth emergency management program that protects all residents of Alberta."
As part of the EMDSI solution, AGSI will also provide AEMA access to its high quality and accuracy Location Warehouse™ datasets, along with the Government of Alberta's data, to enhance the support of AEMA's emergency planning and response. AGSI Professional Services team is also providing AEMA with our industry leading expertise in Data Warehousing including all geo-spatial aspects of the EMDSI solution. Chris Cameron, President and Chief Executive Officer of AGSI, said:
"Emergency managers at all levels of government, within corporations, and emergency responders across Canada are now immediately benefiting from our GO360 technology solutions. GO360 ensures these managers, incident experts and front line responders have access to the information they need, when they need it."
As part of the AEMA EMDSI contract, AGSI has delivered the first stage of the implementation by providing AEMA with a fully functional GO360 install for AEMA training purposes. This is the second contract awarded to AGSI in just over a year to provide an Emergency Management environment to a provincial agency; Emergency Management Ontario (EMO) being the first. Stay tuned as AGSI launches its new First Responders Portal later this month.
